THE WARRIOR BODY
Body Warriors lean on raw strength and toughness for melee brawling. Fast swings, steady DPS, and frontline aggression.
What changed:
From G1 onward, Berserk no longer raises damage you receive.

Getting into the game has never been this easy
Use F1-F5 shortcuts to log in to your favourite account instantly
HardSchool keeps the classic experience clean. These systems and features are intentionally absent.
HardSchool focuses on classic Metin2. Modern power-creep systems are not included.
No multifarm restriction. Play with unlimited accounts.
ITEM SHOP
Power is not bought from the item shop
On HardSchool, progress comes through effort. No pay-to-win.
GAME START
Everyone receives a +0 starter weapon, 200 Red Potion (S), 200 Blue Potion (S), 3-day Wind Shoes, and 5 Horse Riding Tickets at the start.
COMBAT & CHARACTER GROWTH
Every level, every drop, and every stat on your account is earned through play. Nothing is handed out for free.
Item worth comes from scarcity and demand, not from flooding the world with endless drops.
Quest lines, horse growth, and skill training follow the classic route, complete with book timers, soul stones, biologist tasks, and mount missions.
• You can start fishing once you reach level 50
• Herbalism and potion crafting are now part of the game
• Traditional mining is gone. The Gathering skill now handles ore and boosts herb collection
• Leadership bonuses were reworked for clearer party value
• Polymorph stat bonuses received a balance pass
THE HEUK-YOUNG
Heuk-Young is a new crafter NPC in Map1. Visit her to produce Item Enchant scrolls, Item Reinforcement permits, and Blessing Marbles.
Permits for Item Enchant and Item Reinforcement drop from Metin stones, bosses, and chests throughout the open world.
THE ALCHEMIST
Bring Magic Dust, refined from Spirit Stones at the Alchemist, to craft an Enchanted Gem.
THE SOON
At Soon, trade in Skill Books, Books of Forgetfulness, or Recipes to receive Parchment as payment.
THE STOREKEEPER
The Storekeeper swaps upgrade leftovers for Crafting Materials. Spend them to unlock extra horse saddlebag rows or buy Lockpicks for special world interactions.
How to exchange
More exchange options
This system keeps item drops valuable, prevents market inflation, and preserves the classic balance.
THE NAKAJIMA
Thief Gloves and Experience Rings from stones and bosses bind to your character. Nakajima in Map2 can convert them into tradable versions with shorter durations.
THE BAEK - GO
After level 15, finish Baek-Go's quest to open his shop and buy the Herbalist's Knife.
Herbs then spawn on every map from Map1 onward. Learn each potion recipe first, NPCs, quests, chests, bosses, and stones all provide different formulas.
THE MAP CHEST & DRUNK MAN
From Map1 upward, each map hides several Loot Chest spots. You may open any given chest once per hour.
Rewards range from herbs and gear to yang and EXP, with a chance for rare loot.
Watch out. An unlucky open can poison you instead of paying out.
Chest channeling takes a few seconds and cancels if you get hit.
Craft Lockpicks through the Shabby Pedestrian; you need them to open world chests.
THE DEMON TOWER
Demon Tower stands as HardSchool's sole dungeon, faithful to classic Metin2, demanding, rewarding and made for dedicated explorers.
Layout and pacing stay classic, with small tweaks for fairness and easier entry.
Daily run limits refresh at 05:00 CET:
After using your free entries, buy a Demonic Key from the Demon Tower Guard for extra runs.
If you are removed from the Demon Tower for any reason, you can return through the NPC. You do not have to hand over items again or pay Yang.
Keys cost Parchment, Magic Dust, Crafting Materials, and a little Yang. They cannot be traded, keeping entry fair for everyone.
DROP & CHEST SEARCH
Seeing items inside chests is now easier. With chest search, search for the name of any chest and view the items you can obtain.
With this window, you can learn which items you can obtain from which monsters.
REFINE
When you want to upgrade an item, the refinement screen shows in detail which materials you already have and which ones you are missing.
There are no special items that increase upgrade success rate in our game; everyone plays under equal conditions.
THE TEMPLE CURSE
Enter the Hwang Temple and you suffer the Temple Curse. A harsh debuff on your accuracy.
Under the curse, most hits on monsters miss and every swing at Metin stones fails inside the temple.
Wear a Sabah Mask to ignore the curse completely.
Getting the mask starts with a dedicated quest chain:
Esoterics in Orc Valley sometimes drop a Wanted Poster. Use it to hunt Nabira, a fugitive esoteric hiding in the valley.
Nabira requests a small favor before handing over the Sabah Mask as payment.
Activate the Sabah Mask for two hours of full immunity to the Temple Curse in Hwang Temple.
Buy spare masks from Nabira or farm them from temple monsters.
THE MONKEY DUNGEON CURSE
Veterans will recognize it. The Monkey Dungeon Curse is back on HardSchool.
Stay inside any Monkey Dungeon for an hour and you risk the curse: a forced teleport to Map1 and a temporary monkey transformation.
Each Monkey Dungeon boss drops a unique protective Herb, Easy, Medium, and Hard each have their own version.
Eating the herb grants two hours of Monkey Curse immunity so you can keep farming safely.
THE ORC VALLEY
Prove yourself to the Royal Guard by clearing Orc Valley threats. His shop then opens with rare goods for loyal fighters.
THE YONGBI DESERT
Help the Sons of the Desert with hunts and gathering in Yongbi Desert. They repay you with access to weapons, recipes, and premium chests.
NOTES
You can finish each faction mission once daily; timers reset at 05:00 CET.
THE CLASSES & SKILLS
Skills and classes have been carefully rebalanced and subtly modernized to provide smoother progression and a refreshed gameplay experience while fully preserving the authentic authentic HardSchool identity.
THE COMBO
Combo behaves like the original game, except Ninja Archers may release up to five arrows in one combo string.
Read the Art of Combo, Combo Master Book, and Combo Mastery Book to raise Combo to level 2.
THE GROUP SYSTEM
Leadership was tuned to give parties stronger, more noticeable support bonuses in hard content.
Bonuses were adjusted:
Old HP regeneration on Leadership was swapped for Magic Damage vs. Monsters. Far stronger for PvE grinding.
HP regeneration was removed in favor of Magic Damage vs. Monsters for smoother PvE progression.
THE GATHERING & MINING SYSTEM
Gathering replaces old mining: one skill handles ore veins and speeds up herb pickups.
Study the Gathering Manual to level it. At max rank you gain up to 11% extra success on ore and herbs.
Like a pickaxe, the Herbalist's Knife levels up as you gather. Successful picks grant EXP toward the next upgrade tier.
THE SPRINT
Every character starts with access to Sprint.
Hold Shift to sprint up to speed 150 on foot; mounted sprint has no cap.
Sprint drains Stamina until empty, then shuts off. Regain 100 Stamina to toggle it again.
Max Stamina and Stamina Regeneration bonuses were added to support sprint builds.
THE POLYMORPH
Polymorph now lasts 10 minutes at base rank and scales longer per level, with retuned damage values.
Train it with Standard, Advanced, and Master Polymorph Books.
THE HORSE SADDLEBAGS
Unlock saddlebag storage once you own a horse.
Some bag rows open right away; more rows need Crafting Materials plus Horse Medals.
Higher character levels gate each extra row, rewarding long-term rider and mount investment.
BONUS CHANGER
When you drag the Bonus Changer onto an item, a new window opens where you can perform the swap. This is kept separate from inventory clutter so your screen stays easier to read.
You can also see how many changers were used on an item's bonuses directly below that item. That matters for rarity too.
THE SKILL TRAINING
At level 5 you become a Skill Adept and pick one of two class professions.
Class trainers in the starter village handle skill training.
Each level grants one Skill Point.
Master (M) on a skill costs 17 Skill Points total.
Failed mastery attempts can be reset to refund every point.
Before level 30, the Old Lady resets all skills so you can swap professions.
MASTERY & SKILL BOOKS
Single skills reset with a Book of Forgetfulness or Skill Reversal Scroll.
Skills from Master through Grand Master advance by reading their Skill Books.
Hermit's Advice makes the next Skill Book read succeed automatically.
Failed book reads impose a cooldown before you may try again.
Use an Exorcism Scroll to clear the skill book cooldown instantly.
FREE BATTLEPASS
The Battle Pass is completely free. Each month it renews so you can complete quests and earn various rewards.
In our anti-P2W design, we make adjustments that support players without breaking balance.
The Battle Pass offers convenience rewards. It does not put you ahead of other players.
BONUS TABLE
The Bonus Table shows all bonuses your character currently has. It updates in real time and lists every bonus on your character, including attack and defence attributes.

Mounted dagger attacks now use the same animation timing as sword riders.
After Ambush, Bloodlust adds bonus attack value. Stacks twice.
Stealth now triggers instantly without a stop animation.

Archers can hit three targets at once. Five when Combo is fully trained.
Mounted boss and Metin attacks fire a second arrow at 50% damage.
THE SURA WEAPON
Weapon Suras blend sword swings with burst magic. Armor shred, hybrid scaling, close-range pressure.
What changed:
Enchanted Blade lifesteal caps at 10% on P rank but gives more attack power at low levels.
THE SURA BLACK MAGIC
Black Magic Suras pressure from range with DoT, armor break, and burst spells instead of melee trades.
What changed:
Fiery Spirit now focuses on your selected target.
Dark Protection also boosts Attack Value against monsters.
THE SHAMAN DRAGON
Dragon Shamans buff allies and keep steady ranged magic damage flowing.

Set up an Offline Shop and keep selling after logout. Your stall stays on the map for other players to browse.
Adjust stock and prices before opening, then collect Yang on your next login. Trade keeps moving without babysitting your character.
Expired offline stalls close automatically, but you can reload the last layout when you open a new one.
Prefer live trading? Classic Online Shops turn your character into a vendor like old Metin2. No tax and no timer while you stay online.
Extra shop slots unlock with Wooden Keys from Metin stones and bosses.
Press F5 for Item Search. It scans nearby player shops for the gear you need.
Matching stalls show a blue arrow; after you visit one, the arrow turns orange so you know it is checked.
Right-click a shop name to bookmark it in blue for quicker return visits.
Weapon stats were re-tuned so many builds stay viable instead of a single FMS/RIB meta.
Level 70 weapons roll random built-in bonuses vs. bosses, monsters, or half humans to push build variety.
Jewelry now carries more useful bonuses so every build can find fitting accessories.

They deepen classic progression without power-creeping the server.
The Alchemist buys Spirit Stones you do not need.

EVENTS
Our game includes classic oldschool events that players love.
And many more...
Real Money Trading (RMT) is strictly forbidden on HardSchool.
To keep the game fair and secure, any trade involving real money is banned. This rule applies to every player without exception.
Trading items for DC (Dragon Coins) inside the game is allowed. This is a natural part of the in-game economy.
Our in-game AI system constantly monitors suspicious activity. It detects trades without proper exchange and suspicious transfers from different HWID addresses.
Flagged accounts are banned. There is no tolerance for RMT attempts or violations of these rules.
Help us keep the economy clean.

Thank you for staying with us and taking the time to explore the server from start to finish. Every detail on this page was prepared to preserve the oldschool spirit and bring classic Metin2 back on a fair footing.
On HardSchool, power is not bought from the item shop. You earn it through play, time, and effort. From guild wars to dungeons, events to the economy, every system follows this philosophy. In-game success and persistence matter more than money.
We stand against pay-to-win. Strong bonuses should be earned in-game, not bought with money. Premium only adds comfort. It does not break competition or fairness. We are grateful to everyone who supports this approach. Without you, this community would mean nothing.
Now it is your turn. Register, download the client, and take up your sword. Join us on Discord, build your guild, and dive into the dungeons. The presentation ends here. The real story will be written with you. We are waiting for you in HardSchool.
Good luck, warrior. See you in HardSchool.
